Can you believe we started in 2007? Time flies when you’re having fun….

We’ve had all sort of small projects going through December, and we’re starting to think about what to do next spring… maybe a fundraiser for the animal shelter…. maybe a Habitat/Genesis Home project… maybe a Sock War, (or a slipper-war).

StringThing Theory, our first pattern book, is now available for sale to the general public. Look! We have a button!

Thanks to Sarah (and Monique) for getting the ball rolling on our Fair Isle Knit-Along. On Jan. 17th, follow Sarah to the Fair Isle where she will magically enchant us and keep us captive in her mermaid castle! No, wait – where she will help us learn colorwork. That was it.

Also! We’re proud and happy to introduce StringThing’s first official Award: The Golden Squirrel. (photo will be here shortly!) The Golden Squirrel will be awarded to someone for a Fantastic Accomplishment, or as a Means of Encouragement. That person will then be responsible for awarding the Golden Squirrel to the next person. The Squirrel can be awarded as often as we like, but I’d suggest at least once a month. (Many thanks to K for making the Golden Squirrel!)
