September 2009 – Centerfest!
September was a very productive month! Naomi did a workshop for us on cast-off techniques (four different ones!), we finished our infamous pattern book, and many of us also went into high-gear production for our second year at Centerfest. Some of the best moments: someone bought seven of Teresa’s sachets while Teresa happened to be sitting quietly right there; a woman who bought one of Sandy’s facecloths declared it was “the best buy at Centerfest this year” and then muttered “and I don’t give up my money easily!” O’s little sweaters went like hotcakes, and many people said they remembered our booth from last year – described the scarf they bought from us, etc. Although we didn’t sell very much hand-spun, it was definitely worth having it there – it drew a lot of people in.
