April 3 – 5: Many thanks to Sarah for all her work organizing this trip!

Bear Lake Lodge was nothing short of palatial, and we had a blast. Photos below….

We hiked at the waterfall….

Uber-hot waitress at Tupelo – she was hard to get a photo of, because she moved so fast. Also, K’s alarming receipt.

March came in like a cute fuzzy little lion and went out like a wet, grouchy lamb.

Springing Forward – We met at Duke Garden on a gorgeous Daylight Savings Day to do some serious basking and even a little frolicking. Oh, and some knitting! That too.

The next week, it was pouring. We practically had to swim to George’s Garage. The long-anticipated Train Trip to Greensboro (closest place we can go on a train, just for kicks) was postponed; rain date tba…

Indra’s Net : we’ve completed several sections of netting for an art gallery installation piece by local artist Katy Clove:

PDF of the pattern is here: crochet_web_proposal-1. Basically, the idea is to make 6-foot-wide sections of netting. All you really need is chain stitch, and you just keep making netting until you run out of yarn. Her yarns are *awesome* – we’ve got everything from silk to steel going on, here…
